This is a quick tutorial on how to install the Simple Voice Chat mod in Minecraft! This mod allows you to talk to other nearby players, making it a super realistic mod as the closer someone is, the louder you hear them.

1. Jarfix

The very first step is to install Jarfix. Even if you have installed it in the past, I recommend re-installing the latest version. Without Jarfix, or with an outdated version of Jarfix, any downloaded MC mods, texture packs, and maps will not launch successfully.

This button link is for Windows users only. If you use a different system, search on Google for ‘Java (whichever system you use)’.

2. Fabric Loader

Fabric is a crucial installation for the Simple Voice Chat modpack to run.

Make sure you install the Windows mod version.

Once you have clicked the ‘Download Fabric’ button above, click ‘Download for Windows’ on the Fabric installation page.

3. Simple Voice Chat Modpack

Click the button above which takes you through to the official Simple Voice Chat modpack installation page. In this video example (above), I have installed the Simple Voice Chat 1.21.10 version. So, click on ‘Files’ and then click the 3 dots to the right of a 1.21.10 version that shows Fabric as its Mod loader. Then select Download File.

4. Minecraft Mods Folder

You have now installed Simple Voice Chat, but we need to move it into our Minecraft Mods folder. To locate our mods folder, type %appdata% into your Windows search bar. Then select your Roaming Folder, then your Minecraft Folder, then Mods. Keep this folder open whilst opening your downloads folder. Then drag and drop, or copy and paste the modpack download into your Minecraft Mods folder.

5. Launching MC

Once you have followed these 4 steps, you’re ready to go. Open up your Minecraft Launcher and launch Fabric 1.21.10. You may need to create a new installation.
