The default Mainframe decal is currently at an all-time low (as of writing). Therefore, this might be the best opportunity to get this decal. This default version used to be worth around 5,000 credits upon release on PC, over 4,000 on Play Station, and over 3,000 on Xbox. Rocket League came to Switch after this decal was released so pricing is unavailable back in 2018 for that platform.

The tw Mainframe is valued massively above its blueprint crafting cost. This means that if you get hold of a titanium white mainframe blueprint, you will save a lot of credits. But the blueprint for this item is also rare so it may not be easy.
Between October 2020 and April 2021, these painted variants peaked enormously high. For example, the tw Mainframe peaked at 20,000 credits for PC traders.
For other Mainframe paints, it should be cheaper to buy the item direct or trade credits in exchange for the item with other players. This is because their valuation is below their blueprint crafting cost. Titanium white Mainframe costs 2,500 credits to craft. Burnt Sienna Mainframe costs 2,000 credits, whilst all other paints cost 2,200 credits to craft the blueprint.
Why the Mainframe is so important in your Car Design
Your selected Rocket League decal accounts for almost all of your car’s visual image and is therefore, the most important aspect of your car design.
When designing Rocket League cars, I always select the decal and its color before I choose the wheels. By following this method, it becomes easier and quicker to create your ideal car design.
How to get the Mainframe in Rocket League
All Mainframe paints except titanium white are cheaper to trade or buy direct from item selling sites due to their price valuation being cheaper than their blueprint crafting cost.
Firstly, let’s start with the tw mainframe decal. This decal is worth significantly more expensive than its blueprint price. This means if you have the Mainframe titanium white blueprint, then it will be cheaper this way. Blueprints can be obtained through playing matches and receiving end-of-game rewards. This method can take very long to receive the exact blueprint you desire. You may have to result in finding a website or player who is selling this blueprint in exchange for cash or credits. Note that the tw blueprint is extremely rare so it may be difficult to get one.
Then, we have the remaining Mainframe Rocket League paints. These are generally cheaper by purchasing from RL item websites or trading with other players in exchange for credits or cash. Unlocking a blueprint for any of the other paints would be costing you more credits than necessary.
